Distinguished Delegates,
We hope you had a successful end of the semester and that you are enjoying the beautiful summer weather.
With this last newsletter of the academic year, we look back on a wonderful General Assembly. It was a pleasure to keep you informed about all things MUN and we already look forward to seeing you in the next semester!
Goodbye from our President
Dear Members, dear Sponsors, dear Friends
These are my parting words to the association and everyone involved in MUN UZH. First and foremost I want to extend my gratitude to our Sponsors. Without the help of Swiss Re, the University of Zürich, the UZH Alumni and the ICC Switzerland my work on the board of MUN UZH would have been far more difficult. With their support, I was able to take part in the organisation of so many projects over the past three years that benefitted not only the society but also everyone involved in the organisation. When I look back at my work as Head of Operations and Head of Finance I remember the events and conferences we went to. The ones in the United Kingdom where we were more than exhausted after every debate and the ones in Spain and Italy where we were able to debate and party until the sun rose over Rom and Madrid respectively. I got to know so many people from different countries all across Europe and even some from the other side of the ocean. I had so many interesting conversations that broadened my horizon and met so many interesting people that challenged my view on the world. But these memories seem insignificant compared to the people I met here in Zürich. It has been a privilege to work together with my predecessors Deborah Häusermann and Yağmur Gönç and the respective boards. ZuMUN, our own conference, organised by Jessica and Ferdinand has been a highlight. And a special thank you goes out to the outstanding Mimi, Nora, Amin, Manuel, Lorenz, August and Jeanne. Our board had amazing potential and it is frustrating that we could not fulfill this potential like we could have without the pandemic. Nevertheless, it has been a great year as President. I could not have asked for better support. Every time someone was dragged down by the fact that another event had been delayed or another conference trip canceled, the members of the board were there to pick that person up and spread new motivation. It has been a special year, in every sense of the word.
I wish the next board all the best, may they get the opportunity to lead our association into the future and realise their ideas.

General Assembly
We were very happy to be able to celebrate our General Assembly in person at the Marriott Hotel in Zürich.
After each board member summarized their accomplishments of the last year we said goodbye to them and elected our new board for the academic year of 2021/22. Following the General Assembly, we got to spend a wonderful evening with our dear members and friends at the Alehouse.
Thank you for coming and celebrating our great association with us.
We are already looking forward to the next semester with you and the many sessions, events and conferences we will enjoy together!
