Fair marrow! My name Is Kai Schärer and I study informatics and statistics at the University of Zürich. I hail from Switzerland and the United States, and first joined the UZH MUN in 2021, after having participated in MUN at my high school for multiple years. I love MUN for the way it combines the discussion of complex global issues with a theatrical and argumentative flair, and I enjoy arguing for positions with which I do not agree. 

As the Head of Operation, my job is to plan for weekly sessions, choosing topics and guiding discussion to guarantee deep and lively debate, as well as to help new members find their bearing, understand the MUN system, and feel welcome.

I joined the board as a way to provide service to an organization which has provided me with a tremendous amount of joy and community. This organization has been one of the best parts of my university life, and I am very grateful for the ability to help bring this experience to more people.
