We hope you had a successful end of the semester! With this extraordinary newsletter, we look back on a great General Assembly and introduce you to our new Board!
Goodbye from our President
Dear Members, dear Sponsors and dear Friends,
After having stepped down after two years on the board of the MUN Team UZH, I am looking forward to taking on new challenges knowing that our association will be in great hands! I would like to thank our sponsors Swiss Re, ICC Switzerland, UZH Alumni and VSUZH for their continuous support. Without their support, many of the projects and initiatives that I was honored to be a part of would not have been possible. Our MUN Team has been an integral part of my studies here in Zurich and I have met some of my closest friends in these past three years. Many of these people have inspired me to consider new perspectives and to push the boundaries of my comfort zone. All the hours of debating and the long nights filled with laughter, dancing and discussions in Stockholm, Rome, Warsaw and elsewhere will be remembered. I have also grown to love the weekly dinners at Untere Mensa ahead of our sessions and will most certainly continue to come back for fruitful debates during the weekly sessions and during beer delegation afterwards (especially if we are heading to Cabaret Voltaire).
I would like to thank my predecessors Yagmur and Tim and all the respective board members for their dedication to our association. It was a pleasure to get to know and work with you all. A thank you goes out to Manuel, his USGs and the whole OC for making ZuMUN 2022 a memorable weekend. It was a great way to conclude my presidential year. A huge shout out goes out to Ridika, Jenny, Darya, Amin, Patrik, Eliseo and August, who have been tremendously hard-working and loyal co-board members and friends this past year. I wish them all the best for their future endeavors. To the new board: Best of luck! May you be able to implement all your ideas!
I am looking forward to seeing you all next semester on Wednesdays at 7pm or around the university!

General Assembly 2022
On the 22nd of May, we had the pleasure of celebrating our General Assembly, right here at the University of Zurich!
After our members approved the proposed revision of the association's statutes, the board members summarised their activities and pointed out highlights of the academic year 2021/22.
Honouring some especially outstanding members with awards, was the board's final official task before being discharged. At this point, we would like to congratulate Rookies of the Year, Anna Iten and Humberto Tomé, Best Delegate, Nicola Dahle, and thank Tim Hetzer, Moritz Adam and Manuel Kissóczy for their outstanding contributions to our Team this past year!
Following the election of the new board, we spent an enjoyable evening in the office garden. Despite a bit of rain interrupting the apéro, it was the perfect way to end this MUN-year!
